Graduation Party: Sweet & Sour Meatball Recipe
This is a great recipe to use for an upcoming Graduation Party. RECIPE INGREDIENTS: 3 pound ground round 3 eggs 2 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Pepper 3 tablespoon butter Sweet and Sour "Glaze" 1 1/2 cup grape jelly 3 cup chili sauce With a fork or clean hands, combine the meat, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper, then shape into 1-inch balls. Melt the butter in a large saute pan, brown the meatballs, and drain off the fat. In a bowl, stir together the jelly and chili sauce and pour over the meatballs. A second option, if you are not brave enough to try the "homemade" glaze, is to purchase an "off the shelf" sweet and sour sauce. Simmer uncovered for 35 minutes over low heat, turning the meatballs regularly. Keep warm in a chafing dish and serve them to your guests with toothpicks. Should serve about 15 guests.
