Graduation Party: BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe
This is a great recipe for your upcoming graduation party open house. If you are expecting a larger crowd, pre-cook multiple pork shoulders, pull apart, and serve in a crock-pot with store purchased BBQ sauce. INGREDIENTS 4 lbs boneless pork shoulder, fat removed (Costco has a perfect boneless pork shoulder for slow cooked pulled pork) 1/4 cup water BBQ SAUCE 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 cup ketchup 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar 1 tablespoon yellow mustard 1 tablespoon molasses 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 dried crushed red pepper flakes Dash liquid smoke flavoring 1) Combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in medium mixing bowl. 2) Place pork shoulder in crock pot and pour BBQ sauce over the top. 3) Cook 8-10 hours 4) Remove pork from crock pot, and pull apart. Add pork back into crock pot. 5) Serve in crock pot to keep warm. Pre-split french rolls are the best to provide guests to "make their own" BBQ pulled pork sandwich. |
